  • Alisha Alli (she/her)

    Alisha is a doula, certified in lactation basics, and has had the pleasure of birthing 4 children herself. Alisha’s goal is to provide women, especially women of color, the support they need in getting their voices heard through the birthing process. As a certified life coach Alisha has years of coaching women through pregnancy, birth, and beyond. Alisha provides every mother with the physical, mental and emotional support she and/or her partner may need. Through music, lighting, sounds and natural intimacy of touch her clients are able to create the space they needed and are able to voice that loud and clear. Alisha is there to help along the way by providing the necessary resources and support.

  • Alondra Matamoros (she/her/ella)

    Alondra Matamoros is a bilingual, first generation, full spectrum doula in the New York City area. She is passionate about serving the immigrant community and infusing her support with the rich cultural practices of her ancestral lands of El Salvador and Dominican Republic. Staying aligned with her cultural practices her support is grounded in holistic health, including the mind, body and spirit. Along with serving the community in NYC she is also doing extensive research on the state of maternal health in El Salvador. Ultimately, Alondra would like to become a homebirth midwife, until then catch her at a birth or playing dominoes with her close friends and family!

Her extensive experience in parenting skills further empowers parents to nurture their children with confidence and care. Aqila's compassionate approach and diverse expertise ensure comprehensive support tailored to each family's unique needs.

    Ashley has a deep commitment to community service which is rooted in compassion for one another. Her journey in supporting others began with volunteer outreach and mentoring work in South Jamaica, where she dedicates her time to uplifting and empowering individuals in her community. As a doula, Ashley is passionate about creating a safe and supportive space for mothers and their partners. With a degree in psychology, she brings a unique blend of expertise to her role as a doula. Her focus is on validating each person's experience, ensuring they feel heard, respected, and nurtured throughout their journey. She believes in the power of presence and the importance of holding space during one of life's most transformative moments.     Charline is a proud NICU mom and the owner of www.somiclients.com Supporting Our Mothers Initiative, LLC a company created to address the needs of birthing individuals throughout the world. Charline is a Full Spectrum Doula, an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist, and self-proclaimed Lactivist. Her future goals include starting a nonprofit to benefit breastfeeding families and building a Birth Center in Queens, NY.

    Claudine is a compassionate, certified full spectrum doula dedicated to serving minority and low-income communities. As a Black woman, Claudine strives to bring a personal understanding of the unique challenges her clients face. She strives to provide comprehensive support throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum, ensuring clients feel empowered and informed. Currently, Claudine is pursuing a career as a certified medical assistant and certified phlebotomy technician to further enhance her skills. Claudine provides numerous valuable resources and is dedicated to her community and our collective growth and wellness.

    Desiree is a mom of twins and a dedicated doula specializing in providing holistic support to expectant mothers. In addition to physical and emotional care during labor and delivery, Desiree is passionate about providing support and advocacy for women's rights and well-being. Her focus is on empowering women by being a reliable resource bringing evidence-based support and creating a strong system, ensuring mothers are in control of their pregnancy journey. Desiree also brings a decade of experience in the medical field, having worked for some of the most prominent physicians in NYC. Desiree is a native New Yorker who has resided in every borough except the Bronx.

    Donna is a full-spectrum doula, Birth Justice Defender, and a certified Lactation Consultant with personal experience in breastfeeding her own two children. Donna has worked with children and families for over 30 years. Since 2004, she has conducted 12-week Family Court approved parenting classes in Queens under the guidance of ACS and DOHMH. . As a Community Ambassador, Donna has established a strong network connection which allows her the opportunity to provide multiple resources and advocate strongly on behalf of her clients. Donna is passionate about promoting health in families of color and empowering expectant parents with support, education and guidance on their journey into parenting. Donna brings knowledge, a sense of humor, and a caring heart to her work as a doula.

    Erika is a full-spectrum doula who has been serving the tristate area for over 6 years. As a doula, Erika’s main focus is to help both mom and baby have an ideal birth experience. Erika believes support is not only physical but emotional as well. She is passionate about providing parents with the information and education they request. Erika teaches her clients first about informed consent because it is very important in helping moms to make their own choices during their pregnancy, birth, and parenting journey. Knowledge is Power.

    Faseeha is a Muslim American doula raised in Long Island. Alongside being a doula she is a real estate agent. Driven by a deep commitment to support women, Faseeha is focused on helping expectant mothers take charge of their births. Her mission is to provide women with the knowledge, confidence, and control they need to make informed decisions about their birthing experiences. When she’s not helping families find their dream homes or guiding women through their birth journeys, Faseeha enjoys pottery, reading, and discovering new coffee shops. She is always on the lookout for the perfect brew and a cozy corner to relax with a good book.

  • Fatematuz Chamak

    Fatema is a Bangladeshi American who practices as a social worker and as a Doula. Fatema got into birthing work/doula care because she is passionate about servicing Bangladeshi women and limiting health disparities. Through her experiences so far, Fatema has found doula work to be a very rewarding and intimate experience. As a social worker, Fatema works with an organization serving South Asian women who have been impacted survivors by gender-based violence. In her personal time, Fatema loves to hang out with her cat Coco, biking, and trying to cook new recipes.

    Florence is a Filipino-American full-spectrum doula who brings a holistic, calming, and creative approach to the birthing space. Having worked as a public health researcher promoting health equity among communities of color, Florence is committed to empowering her clients with evidence-based, culturally-sensitive, and trauma-informed resources. As a musician and artist in her free time, she weaves the creative arts, as well as herbalism, massage and meditation, into her practice. Florence strives to honor the unique spiritual, mental, cultural and physical needs of each of her clients to ensure that they feel fully supported at every stage of their birthing journey.

    Gabrielle is a Liberian-American full-spectrum community doula with additional certifications and training in childbirth education, mood disorder training, abortion support, and infant massage. Gabrielle is deeply committed to supporting the needs of queer individuals and immigrant families, advocating for the autonomy and unity of marginalized communities. Gabrielle connects with others through her love and passion for bodywork, dance, and communal practices. By bringing a welcoming and outgoing energy to every space, Gabrielle maintains a grounded demeanor that provides stability and calmness in challenging circumstances and transitions. With more than 8 years of experience working with families in hospitals, homes, and virtually. She is passionate about supporting mothers with perinatal grief using tools such as healthy nutrition, herbalism, yoga, meditation, prenatal massage, quarantine closure massage among others. Prior to birth work, Michelle has worked as a professional baker, circus performer, teaching artist, and landscaper. She lives with her son, 2 cats (who are not friends), and varying number of fish. With a background in youth education and as a teaching artist, Phoenix integrates visionary planning, compassion, and a sense of humor into their role as a birthworker. They are certified by Ancient Song Doula Services and have received training through the Lifewerq Project, specializing in 2S/Trans/GNC BIPOC Birth, Life, Reproductive Justice & Liberation. Phoenix grew up on Lenapehoking Land, raised between North New Jersey and Queens, New York. As a HoPE birthworker, they serve the spirited and vibrant Queens community with a full heart.

    Priscilla is excited to support families as they create and bring new life. She comes to the birth world from a background in sociology and social work. She has 10+ years of experience working in trauma units, with veterans, with children for long inpatient stays, and holding space for therapy. She was unpredictably thrown into this work when she became pregnant and hired a doula for herself. She has endured some life circumstances that led her to work with various doulas for her birth. Though everyone has a different style, Priscilla believe the mission is the same - to amplify voices and assist, while understanding the importance of safety in intimate experiences. Priscilla never expected that her own personal experience would change her life forever- dedicating her time to supporting others. Priscilla’s mission is to co-create a safe space for birthing people, providing information, and helping you make the best decision making for your birthing journey.

She is a daughter, a sister, a mother, and a Mexican Native living in Queens, New York since 1999. Tania values culture, traditions, language and beliefs- and as a doula, she is committed to giving you the emotional support you need according to your needs and beliefs. Tania believes it is very important to empower women in her community by providing them with the proper information and resources they need to prepare them for labor and delivery. Tania provides her clients with tools in a compassionate manner, always respecting the client’s decisions and advocating for their rights, with the clients health and safety always as the priority. Tania loves to begin by connecting with you and your baby and providing you with support when your baby decides to come into the world. Tania is also committed to helping you to recover during postpartum with the opportunity to experience traditional support using herbal baths, oils, and wrapping your body with a reboso - to give you the closure of your pregnancy and welcoming you into your beautiful role of becoming a mom, but not forgetting that YOU are the light, the bridge of life, and the powerful woman that you are.
